Trapped in Yuma

Here I sit, typical trucking, spend hours sitting and waiting on shippers then have to run like crazy to make it to your next stop. This time I am sitting in warm Yuma, AZ, I guess that’s a plus. Situations like this are way to common in trucking, this is the main reason that I really doubt the FMCSA will ever be able to come up with real and safe log rules. Until shipper and Receivers start getting their act together and honor the same appointments they hold us too then nothing will ever change.
The news on radio this morning is all about snow in DC. Where’s that global warming they keep promising???

Spill Some Tea

The Tea Party Express rolled into the Nations Capital today in an attempt to wake-up the Nations Lawmakers. Will it work? Will the Politicians pull their heads out of the sand and listen to the majority of Americans or will they continue to bow-down to the special interest running the Democratic Party.

Today’s protest brought the voice of Americans concerned about the path this Nation is being lead down by President Obama and his ilk. A path that leads us to bigger, more oppressive government, the end of States Rights, higher taxes and fewer freedoms. Its time that some tea is spilled and we call a stop to this headlong rush to socialism. Just as our fore-fathers stood up against un-fair and oppressive taxes imposed by the British King, we must now spill some tea to save our freedom.

These people who have taken to the streets of D.C. are obviously not a “Fringe” or a “Gang” like the left wants to label them, these are Americans, worried about the future of the Country. Only the most foolish of Politicians should make the mistake of ignoring the true voice of America. These people not only protest, “WE VOTE!!!”

Americans have had enough! We are over-taxed, over-regulated and fed-up with lies from Obama and the Libs. The citizens are finally rising up to take back our Nation from those that would tear it down and re-make it for themselves. It makes me proud to be an American!!!

Many have noticed that my site has been down a few days. Apparently one of these little left-wing twerps out there doesn’t like freedom of speech and attacked my site.
Typical of that group, a bunch of cowards that want to gag those that don’t agree with them. Of course what can you expect when the White House wants to do the same thing by taking over the internet and gathering names of dissenters.

Rainy and Cold….Again!

I guess this must be that global warming thing-a-jig I keep hearing about. Lots of rain and down-right chilly weather in July. I like the fact that Nashville, the home of the High Priest of the Church of Global Warming, Al Gore, has had record low temps over the last week or so.
I’m thinking of going back to idling so I can crank out some CO2 to get the temps up to normal levels. Of course the followers of Grand Pubah Gore call the whole thing “Climate Change” now since all of their theories and plots to remake the World in their own twisted image are falling apart.
The sun seems to have gone on vacation, no sunspots, lowered output of heat and actually a little dimmer than normal. This is most likely the cause of the decline in temps, just as the overactive periods we have just come out of caused the higher than average temps. Right now scientist are wondering how long before the sun kicks in again, its past due.
I’m starting to miss Summer. I know the South and West are hot of course but it should also be hot in PA and NY.

I was just looking at the site and saw its been a while since I’ve posted anything but twitter updates. I’m still waiting to get my medical back so that I am able to drive again, it may happen this next week if my next blood test comes up with the right numbers. I am then planning to go back to driving for about 6-8 months in order to get caught up on bills. After that, I think its time to get off the road for good.
I went in last week and did the sleep apnea thing over here at one of the hospitals, I don’t have it. Of course I already knew that but try and convince a Dr of that. I know a lot of truck drivers have the problem but I’m not sure these test and breathing machines are the answer. It just treats the symptoms, not the cause, we need to change the culture of truck driving. Work on staying healthy and fit while on the road, keeping our weight down and eating healthy.
Well I’m off to the rat race again, putting in 12 hrs at a dispatch board to keep the dollars coming in.
