Tucker the friend that told you that trucking is the worst job is a clown. Sorry.

Truck driving is what you make it. You can get out of the truck as much as you want as long as you leave earlier enough for breaks. You also can do some exercises in your seat (but you still are sitting, true enough).

You don't have to eat junk. Drivers choose to eat junk. I drive and I eat Fiber cereal, beans, fruits, tuna, strings beans and spinach as my main nourishment then scatter a slice of pizza in twice a week (my weakness).

On Saturday, at one meal I eat whatever I desire, which most of the time is still the beans or fiber cereal unless I am sitting somewhere early with a restaurant. Been 200lbs plus or minus 5 for the last 7 years.

I got 2 dumbells and workout at least 4 times a week. You don't have to have dumbells though, I do sit ups and push ups everyday too. Getting a little walking in is easy too but too many drivers circle the lot over and over looking for a parking space as close to the front door of the truckstop as they can find it.

Trucking is not the cause of our poor health. Don't let your friend fool you.

Don said it, our poor habits and decisions is what causes most of the problems with our health on the road. If we want change we have the power to create change with making better more intelligent choices.

Nothing wrong with trucking. I hate to see people bad mouthing trucking or truckers.

Good luck on everything Don. Nice website. I really need to get into this twitter thing though, i am soooo behind.

You're dispatching? I may be doing that soon, part time and drive short regional. If it makes the truck payment fine, if not, that's fine too. Still love driving, but it's either the truck or the marriage. Since I can't and wouldn't want to get the wife back in the truck, I'm ready to take a serious break.

I had a friend that told me one time that truck driving is the worst job out there. You sit in a truck all day, you drive in stressful situations, you eat junk all the time and get very little exercise. I appreciate all the things these guys go through.

Hope you get better soon and get the approval to make it happen. enjoy your tweets!
If you ever get down I80 through Nebraska, tweet me (@tykerman1) and I'll buy you a meal!

My husband served with the 101st in Iraq and I was very proud of him for his service and sacrifice to his country. However, it makes me even prouder to know that he was a part of a unit that has the courage to stand up in the face of not terrorist oposition, but domestic, and voice their belief in what they are trying to accomplish through their mission in Iraq. I just want to say thank you to these soldiers who had the bravery to remind America just what freedom is and to let us know that they are ready to pay the price for it.

Winners and Losers...

The battle continues over allowing Mexican trucks access to U.S. roads, everyone seems to have their own set of numbers to justify allowing or stopping Mexican trucks. I had a manager once who said that “numbers never lie, but liars figure&#822...
