This time I am sitting in warm Yuma, AZ, I guess that’s a plus. Situations like this are way to common in trucking, this is the main reason that I really doubt the FMCSA will ever be able to come up with real and safe log rules. Until shipper and Receivers start getting their act together and honor the same appointments they hold us too then nothing will ever change.
The news on radio this morning is all about snow in DC. Where’s that global warming they keep promising???

Spent the last two days getting student shifting gears and driving the truck down the road. Its actually been going pretty good so far, guy seems to have a good head on his shoulders and is catching on. He’s is young, I’ve got socks older than he is, and I worry a bit about the state of Americas education system. Smart but has never been taught anything about much of America.
Will keep my readers updated on progress.
