Cart Before the Horse

Turned on the TV this morning and the first thing I saw was Ted Kennedy spouting about the newest Amnesty Bill. I’m sorry, you cannot have a legal way to citizenship until you plug up all of the holes in the system. This bill will likely be more of the same. Laws are only as good as the governments ability to enforce them. The fence is still not being funded, our border agents still sit in jail for ding their job, and the Border has become a war zone. Things look all rosy from an office in Washington, try going down to Laredo Ted. Secure the Borders first. This must be done before we can make all of these grand political schemes to legalize the illegals already here. Prove that you are willing to enforce the laws already on the books before you tell me how great of a job you are doing creating new ones. Fund the fence and additional border security. Lets not be in such a hurry to give away our country for political power.

Speaking of borders, I’m heading North to cross that border tonight.
