Senate blocks minimum wage hike

The dems may think they can run things but now they get a little of their own medicine after years of Democrats blocking anything the Republicans wanted to do in the Senate then blaming Republicans for never getting anything done.

On a vote of 54-43, Democrats fell six short of the 60 needed to end debate and go to passage of the House-passed measure, which would raise the minimum wage to $7.25 per hour from $5.15 per hour over two years.

It looks like Ted Kennedy refused to give a break to small businesses to help offset the hit of paying un-trained, inexperienced teenagers $7.25 per hour.

It looks like the party is over.
