Its raining and a little cool here in Whitsett, NC this morning. I actually am able to stop and have a bit of a lazy morning. I don’t have to be in GA until tomorrow morning so that only leaves 300 miles to go for today. Its kind of a nice break from the string of 600+ mile days lately.
Stopped here yesterday to watch the Kentucky Derby. It seems my boss, Robert Low, the owner of Prime had a horse running in the race. His horse, Steppenwolfer, came in 3rd. Not bad for a good ol’ ex truck-driver from Missouri. Congrats to the Lows and Steppenwolfer!
Patrick Kennedy is going to rehab, again. He should be going to jail after his little trick the other night. If any of us had rammed a police barricade in D.C. and nearly run over a cop we would be sitting in the deepest darkest prison cell they could find. But the Kennedy name buys its privileges. The left spent all last week whining and complaining about Rush Limbaugh getting a deal, but Kennedy gets off with nothing. Shows you what money and privilege truly buys. Hopefully the voters in R.I. will see this, come to their senses and give this guy the heave-ho! The kennedys have come a long way down from Jack and Bobbie. Too much power and money. Maybe we really should look harder at term limits.
Going to grab some coffee and breakfast and head on down the road. Everyone stay safe and watch out for the other guy. Remember he thinks he is driving a phone booth!
