Cheney Wounds Fellow Hunter

While hunting quail Vice President Cheney accidentally shot one of his hunting companions. Cheney hit Texas Attorney Harry Whittington with shot while shooting at a quail. Whittington is “alert and doing fine” in a Corpus Christi hospital. I’m sure the left is going to jump on this to assault Cheney and the Bush Administration, the gun control and anti-hunting nut jobs will use this as an excuse to try to try to reduce hunters rights and the late night comedians will have fodder for their routines for weeks. I doubt any of them will take into account that this is a common type of hunting accident and is easy to do. All it takes is someone to be out of position or being over-enthusiastic. Its not like you are shooting at a stationary object when hunting quail. There have been many quail and pheasant hunters that have had to have shot picked out of the backsides because one of their hunting buddies got sloppy. Accidents happen. I would be glad to go hunting anytime with Mr. Cheney.

Remember Kerry with that shotgun during the campaigns, that scared me.
