Twenty Years After Challenger
Today marks the twentieth anniversary of the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster.
We will never forget them, nor the last time we saw them, this morning, as they prepared for their journey and waved goodbye and “slipped the surly bonds of earth” to “touch the face of God.” President Ronald Reagan January 28, 1986
The men and women that hurled themselves into that cold Florida sky that morning represented the best of the American Spirit. The Spirit to risk all in the quest for knowledge and truth. To proudly represent our Nation in one of its most noble of goals; The peaceful exploration of space. Please take a moment to remember these true Americans this morning.
