The Truckin’ Blog

Posting this morning from the Flying J truck-stop in Pontoon Beach, IL. I picked up a load last night north of here in Beardstown, IL. The load delivers tomorrow in northern Alabama. Freight is slow this weekend. Dispatch dead-headed me from Hatfield, PA on Friday all of the way here to Illinois. It seems to go this way every year, I usually end up having to run cross country empty. Hopefully this will be the only time it happens this year.

I spent most of the week last week running all over the North East, doing little short over-night hops. Thats the main reason I have not posted all week. It seems the only time I have been in a truck-stop was to throw in a splash of fuel and get on to a shipper or receiver. Since I haven’t been able to post, I have missed out on all of the fun of bashing the dems for their stupid remarks earlier in the week. Plantation???? Chocolate City??? Sounds like the dems feel the need to play the race game to win an election. Maybe if they had some real ideas, they wouldn’t have to play these stupid games.

The whack jobs in Pakistan continue to protest the missile attack on an “innocent” Pakistan village. The attack that took out at least four high level Al-Queda operatives. Maybe someone should make it clear that if you are going to have an Al-Queda dinner party in your village, you might want to be out of town that day. I think it is great that we can reach out and touch someone like that. The CIA deserves a thumbs-up for their attack. Maybe if the Clinton administration had had some balls and done the same against Osama, then we wouldn’t have lost those truly innocent victims on 9/11.

Well I have got to get rolling, plan to stop later today to watch some football. Being a Rams fan, I’m pretty much out of luck this year, but my girlfriend is a big-time Broncos fan so I guess I’m stuck rooting for them. But this is going to be one of those years when I watch the Super Bowl for the commercials. Go Donkeys!!! Everyone stay safe and watch out for the other guy.
