Heading for Grand Rapids for an early morning delivery. I have been running in and out of rain all day, just enough to keep the windshield gummed up. Sitting in Lake Station, IN doing some work on site and taking care of some business before heading on to Michigan. It looks like they have gotten quite a bit of rain hear. All the news channels seem to be stuck on the aftermath of Hurricane Rita, I think they are disappointed that there wasn’t more destruction. I’m glad that the hurricane failed to meet their expectations.
Not much else in the news this weekend, there was a big war protest held all over the country with the usual suspects appearing in D.C., about all I see on that was some over-inflated numbers on how many people showed up. My girlfriend went to the one back home and told me about the people that she met at it. Sounded like a bunch that are trying to re-live their glory days from the 60′s. I appreciate the fact that they have the freedom to protest the way things are done, I just hope that they do to and remember a lot of soldiers died to give them that right. I also hope that they remember the soldiers, don’t start treating them the way they did in Vietnam, protesting George Bush is one thing and is within their rights but attacking our soldiers is another.
Well I planned on a quick post and there it is. I hope everyone stays safe and keep our soldiers in your thoughts and prayers.
