The Blame Game

While thousands may be dead or dying in the city of New Orleans, the government has started playing the blame game. In a article yesterday from the Washington Post, it foretells the political pissing match that is going to result from the disaster in New Orleans. Already the President and his administration are passing blame for the slow response to the disaster to on the governor of Louisiana. Claiming that the governor had blocked attempts by the federal government to unify the forces involved in the relief efforts. This disaster is un-presidented in American history, our government, from all levels need to knock off the political bullshit, this not the time for the typical partisan games. The local, State and Federal authorities should have been working together from the moment Katrina became a hurricane. This shows us all how the games played by our politicians are not only stupid, they are dangerous and deadly. When you can lose your life an the life of your family because your government, the government you elect, is too busy playing political patty-cake. The price must be payed for this disaster and the response to it. The politicians that want to sacrifice your life so they can play politics in the face of a national disaster need to pay the price; this needs to be a warning to all politicians that they are there to serve and protect their citizens and not play politics in the face of disaster.
