I got into Reno last night and delivered my load this morning. I am dispatched to pickup this afternoon and deliver in California in the morning. I am supposed to be heading for home sometime this week, but I seem to keep going the wrong way.
The news from New Orleans and southern Mississippi is not good. There is massive flooding in the city of New Orleans and they don’t know how to stop the rising waters. They say 80% of the city is under water. There have been a lot of people killed. My heart goes out for the victims. If you want to help out then send a donation to the Red Cross.
The owner of Prime owns the Palace casino in Biloxi and I have met many of the people that work for him down there, I hope you are all safe. Have not gotten word on specific damage in Biloxi but it got hit pretty hard. They are saying at least 30 people have been killed in one condominium in Biloxi that was destroyed.
